Patient Data Acquisition, Management & Reporting

  • Assumed internal product ownership of Phase Forward Central Coding for InForm as part of the enterprise adoption of clinical electronic data capture.

Clinical Endpoint Adjudication

  • Assumed ownership of the Clinical Data Adjudication System and led a three person team supporting a data migration effort to achieve cycle-time reduction and to provide improved analytical capability.
  • Led the outsourced development of 40+ Cognos reports.
  • Designed and developed a custom Oracle based workflow engine to support the adjudication process and eliminate the licensing costs associated with BEA WLI.

Clinical Supplies Management & Enterprise Resource Planning

  • Led a three person team through four enhancement release cycles to better align the product with business processes. Each version was delivered on schedule and within budget while meeting Merck SDLC documentation requirements.
  • Responsible for estimating resources and developing full project plans.
  • Facilitated cross-departmental business requirements gathering sessions.
  • Identified and leveraged several open-source components, shared services, and reference data repositories available within the Merck enterprise architecture to minimize development costs.
  • Effectively managed stakeholder expectations and communicated product changes to a 1,600+ user community.
  • Led the re-development effort to convert the product from SilverStream to the J2EE WebLogic platform.
